Sliders (aka sliding block puzzles) are dynamic and compact puzzles first popularized in the 19th century. We have constantly been creating this collection of sliders during the past 20 years as physical and interactive toys.
I remember as a kid getting a plastic party favor puzzle that had 15 squares with numbers on them and the idea was to get them lined up in order. This always seemed to be easier said than done. This is the same game but for a new generation.
The Grabarchuk’s have taken a classic puzzle and made it for the Kindle. There are a variety of puzzles so you are not just putting numbers in order. You can make pictures or switch tiles to a certain location. If you are like me, easy looks way too easy but proves it will still make you think. If that is not a challenge, you can always choose one of the other difficulty levels. Then there are 100 puzzles that you can work through. Needless to say, you will not be bored any time soon.
I love these puzzles. I have found that I am better with images than letter and numbers so these puzzles fit me that best out of everything the Grabarchuk’s have come up with. But I still can’t wait to see what they pull out of their bag of puzzles and quizzes next.
