Trinity has spent her life in an orphanage run by strict nuns. But then she learns that she is the granddaughter to wealthy Margaret Wilford. But happiness doesn’t last long when Margaret passes away. Then Trinity starts feeling changes, she is not a plain girl, she has power and needs to learn how to use them, to learn her place in the Egyptian Gods and to fight against evil.
I have always loved mythology stories but have not really spent much time with them. Daughter of the Sun revolves around Egyptian mythology which sucked me in right away. I loved the quick descriptions of the gods and goddesses. It was enough information without dragging the story down. I did like Seth as a love interest but that part I liked the most was that it was not a major theme in the story, just the beginning of something.
I really liked this story, there was mystery, action, and just the right amount of romance. I loved all the Egyptian mythology. This is a great story and I will definitely be looking for the next book.
