Seeing Evil (Mindsight – 2) by MC Domovitch

In the second of the Mindsight series, Ciara Kelly has moved to New York, where she has bought a condo and works for the Fairfield Funeral Home, but her scars still cause her torment. Her psychiatrist is vehement that, because of her PTSD, Ciara must stay away from anything that will remind her of her ordeal. But Ciara becomes obsessed with an ongoing case of a serial killer targeting teenage girls. Soon, she becomes determined to help the police catch this killer. But when Ciara begins to suspect who the killer might be, and the police dismiss her hunch, she finds herself in mortal danger.

Author’s Bio

M.C. Domovitch is guilty! She is guilty of keeping her fans awake all night. The author of nine novels, she writes cozy mysteries as Carol Ann Martin, humorous murder mysteries as Monique Domovitch, and romantic suspense as M.C. Domovitch. The one thing all of her novels have in common is that they are page-turners. Start reading a Domovitch novel in the evening at your own risk.
Asked if there is any truth to the rumor that she is the love child of Sidney Sheldon and Jackie Collins, she insists that she was born in Ontario Canada, the daughter of school teachers who taught her the joy of reading at a young age.
Domovitch lives with her physician husband and their two Yorkies. They divide their time between homes in Toronto Canada and Key Largo Florida.
M.C.’s tenth novel, Seeing Evil, the second of her Mindsight series, is due out in the fall of 2016.

My Review

5 stars

Ciara Kelly has started her life new after her horrible ordeal, but her scars still haunt her. She is seeing a psychiatrist to help with the PTSD. She is warned to stay away from anything that will trigger her. There is a new killer, the East Side Killer that is targeting teenagers by keeping them trapped for a long time slowly bleeding them out. Ciara knows that she can help the police with her talent/curse, if she could just get them to believe her.

I loved Scar Tissue, it was a great thriller with an amazing female lead. Ciara is still suffering from her ordeal but she is trying to put her life back together. I love how David is so caring but willing to give Ciara her space to get things put in order. But Ciara is stronger than she thinks and she is willing to let others know about herself in order to stop the East Side Killer.

This is a great story and although a second book in the series you could read it as a standalone book. This thriller will draw you in and keep you up late wanting to know what happens next. I can’t wait to see what is in store for Ciara next.

I received Seeing Evil from Sage’s Reading Room for free. This has in no way influenced my opinion of this book.
