My Review
5 stars
A young woman stands on the cliffs by the sea, heartbroken, and is pushed by Hera into the sea. Thankfully Poseidon saves her. The woman is Haddie and she has a destiny among the gods. A centaur, Ori helps her and they become fast friends. Haddie is the half daughter of Hera and was supposed to be killed when it was discovered she has no power. But now that she is an adult she has more power than even she knows. And she is in great danger since Hera is determined to erase her mistake from years earlier.
This is a great story of a young woman learning she has more power and family than she thought. She is instantly accepted and welcomed into her family as everyone learns of her abilities. I loved seeing the gods in action and really like how Hera got her own. Of course she still has to cause trouble. But Hera is not the only one Haddie has to be warry of.
This is a great story. It was easy to get into and I love the description of everything. I felt right there as Haddie walked Poseidon’s palace. There is love and sadness and I have to say that Thamous was my favorite character.
If you like Greek mythology you will enjoy this book. It is the first in a series and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
I received His Bride from the Sea from the author for free. This has in no way influenced my opinion of this book.
