Gina Laudermilch and Tallie Graver are good friends but they are learning that having your own business makes getting close to someone a bit hard. Gina has been having a tough time dating and thinks she has found the one until his wife comes into her coffee shop to take him home. Of course Gina is pissed and threatens him on the way out. But then his body is discovered in her house and Gina is the prime suspect. It’s going to be up to Talli to clear her friend’s name.
Talli is back and has her hands full. I loved Gina and felt for her when she discovered her new guy already had a wife. Thank Goodness Talli is there to help solve this mystery. Of course there are more than one suspects and you will tromp through a great mystery trying to figure out who and why Mr. Perfect ended up Mr. Dead.
I love this series. It’s so easy to get into and it keeps you on the edge of your seat with all the twists and turns. Talli is a wonderful, strong character that clearly cares for Gina. I love how she finds out clues as she cleans.
This is a great series and I recommend checking it out if you live cozy mysteries. I see that there is a third book and I can’t wait to read more of Talli’s adventures.

Tallulah Graver, Tallie is willing to do anything to get out of the family business, Graver Funeral Homes. Tallie marries Waldo Phillips and lives in the upper crust of society. But after a while she can’t stand him and gets divorced. Tallie lives in the apartment over the funeral home and although she helps out there she starts a cleaning business and cleans the houses of those that she used to spend her time with.
Things are going well until Talli finds her ex tasered in the jewels and her friend Gina tied up in her coffee shop. If that wasn’t enough she finds a dead body in the house she cleans the next day. Of course she is the person of interest in both events. Talli takes it upon herself to figure out what is happening in her little town and to find out who this flower delivery guy is that is following her around.
This is a great cozy mystery. I quickly got into it and found it easy to relate to Talli. I understand her wanting to get away from the family business and really liked how she started cleaning houses after losing her social status. The mystery had me guessing with some good twists and turns. The only thing that got to me was I was under the impression that there would be more about the family business.
This is a great start to the series and I can’t wait to see what trouble Talli gets into next.

Eventually she got it right. There’s nothing better in the world
than making someone laugh, and she hopes everyone at least snickers
in the right places when reading her books. She lives with her
husband, daughter and three insane dogs in Central Pennsylvania where
she is hard at work on her next novel or three.
