It has been several years since we left Caitlyn and she is still the familiar and has been used as the witches spy over the years. Now we see a plot to get William the Conqueror declared as the heir to Edward the King of England. Caitlyn has been sent to England and Wales but finds herself in trouble. She also finds love and a possible way to break the curse.
This is a great sequel to Three Bloody Pieces and could be read as a standalone but you would miss so much by not reading the first book. I love Caitlyn and my heart breaks for her having to do the witches bidding. I really hope that there is a way to break the curse and that she will find the love she deserves.
But the thing that really makes these books special is the real history that has the paranormal twist to it. We all know I’m not really a history buff but I love learning about events in books. I was looking up information on both William and the Battle of Hastings.
This is a great series and one that I recommend checking out, especially if you like history with a twist. Be warned, there is one heck of a cliff hanger that will have you stalking Elizabeth Davies for the next book.
