From androids with attitude to a vast assortment of alien beings and historic individuals, with a touch of time travel from ancient Babylon to 1757 London and back to Rome of 12 BCE, Neb soon learns that his past, present and future have always lain in the stars above.

It’s a rock and roll ride chock full of chaos, a formidable nemesis, drama, satire, humour, death and new beginnings, with revelations that Neb never saw coming.

Mark has dabbled in various undertakings throughout his illustrious career, from on-air hosting/reporter/stand-up comic to messenger for the Prime Minister of Canada. Mark also holds a degree in Restaurant Services. His family and friends can attest to his excellent cooking skills. It is 1986 and Nebula Yorker, Neb is waiting to see Halley’s Comet. But he is surprised to learn that it is really an Intergalactic Casino that has been hiding as a comet. Mr. Tict is the concierge of the casino and wants Neb to come aboard as his assistant. What follows is action, adventure, and a mystery story as Ned learns about the casino, works with the various alien races, and even travels through time.

This book has a little bit of everything in it. Neb has a great past and I feel bad that he couldn’t watch Halley’s Comet with his parents. But I love how his world takes a massive turn into left field. I love all the pop culture references and how much Star Trek plays a role too, it made me want to go back and watch the original Star Trek series for a while. I really got a kick out of some of the bands playing in the casino yet not knowing where they were. I could see this in real life and even more in this world.

This is not a typical scifi story and I think it will appeal to everyone. It’s a great read with a lot happening in it. I think anyone will be thrilled to read this book. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book, Marine.
