So when the prince asks him to watch over the crafty serpent, Naga, Ophiuchus agrees. But as time passes and discouragement—both from Naga and others—Ophiuchus wonders if the Prince of Stars was right in asking him to take on the burdens of his task.

My Review
4 Stars
Ophiuchus is a warrior of the Celestial Kingdom. He has been giving the tasks of watching the serpent, Naga. We join the two of them as they are at the Prince of Stars party. It’s clear that Ophiuschus had friends and power but now Naga has made him doubt himself and those around him.
As the different stars come to talk to him some try to help and others are clear that they look down on him. But it’s Naga that is constantly reminding Ophiuchus that he is weak, nothing, and not longer wanted in the stars. Ophiuchus has enough and returns to his own home to find the Prince there upset that he left the party.
This is an interesting read. It’s a bit of a confusing look into this world. I am very curious to learn more about it but I have to admit that I’m not really fond of the other warriors; they clearly have a bit of an ego problem.
But then when you read the author’s note at the end things start making more sense. My heart goes out to the author and I do like how things are portrayed. I would like to read more of this world and think that it will touch and make many re-evaluate their own lives.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily chose to read and post an honest review.
