Praise for The Galactic Adventures of Hazel
“An interesting take on the future in a well-crafted tale that integrates what education, technology, business, and everyday living might be like a few centuries from now. Throw in space travel and interactions with beings from other planets and it is a science fiction page-turner. Some might scoff at some of the ideas for the future but some scoffed at Jules Verne and Arthur Clarke, yet some of their ‘crazy ideas’ have become reality.”– Ed Massey, Retired Project Manager for Voyager & NASA Manager for Ulysses

My Review
4 Stars
It is 4519 AD and twelve year old Hazel, along with her two best friends Richie and Dmitiri, live in a town in Earth stratosphere. The do the normal things kids do with school and exploring but with a twist with all the advancements from doorbell to Inter Galactic Vehicles and choosing what color of hair you want to wear that day. The kids find themselves in a mystery of what Gurecoa is and are off across the galaxy to find answers.
This is a great, futuristic story for mid-grade readers. Hazel is a little spitfire and the ring leader of the group. They are off for a normal day but Hazel has other things in mind and the three are off on a galactic adventure.
I like the Starlight’s concept of the future and all the new technology. The three kids are a great team and work well together. The different situations kept me guessing at how everything fit together and wondering what kind of trouble the kids got into.
This is a great read and will appeal to kids and adults alike. I am curious to see what kinds of trouble Hazel is going to get the group into next.
