Christmas is a time for miracles, but miracles have always bothered Hamilton Dinger.
This Christmas Eve, he has only two reasons to be cheerful: Rachel’s Café is open late, and he has a special present for Gwen Kessler. So even if he has to sit through a session of Grandpa Odd’s ramblings, he knows he’ll have some holiday mocha and a chance at finally telling Gwen how he feels about her. His fledgling hope is lost the moment when a new demon monster begins attacking the Star of Hope. Now, not only does Hamilton have to transform into his city superhero self to fight it, he has to deal with Starry Knight, too. Can Hamilton find a new reason for hope this holiday, or is it too much to ask for one more Christmas miracle?

My Review
4 Stars
Hamilton Dinger doesn’t like Christmas but this year he has something to look forward to. Hamilton can spend some time in Rachel’s Café and has a present for Gwen Kessler. Although Grandpa Odd is rambling on about something he is too focused on the gist for Gwen. On the way to Gwen’s place he ends up fighting to save a star from a demon and gets a little hope.
This is a quick blurb between book one and two of the Starlight Chronicles. I like how it shows that although Hamilton is a bit disconnected with people and the world, there is hope that he will find something he is missing for Christmas.
I really liked this quick read and how saving the star helped him more than he thinks. This is a great addition to the series.
