Faeries of Saizia by Tonya Chaves
Zäria and Avery, two teenage faeries seeking adventure, get more than they bargained for when they start spying on the elves of Eerie Hollow. They discover why the elves are making delectable chocolates in the forest only to be captured by their adversary, Thordon who threatens them into taking on a quest. They run into more trouble while crossing through The Perilous Forest when they meet a witch with her own agenda. Their only hope is to locate an ancient faerie sanctuary they’ve only heard of in legend. Secrets are revealed about Zäria’s parents, which leaves her conflicted and forced to make some tough choices. Just when the fae think their troubles are over, the kingdom of Saizia is in danger of being destroyed. Will Zäria and Avery be able to get help on time? How will they defeat the evil Thordon? Inspired by the author’s children, Faeries of Saizia is a unique story that will instill a love for reading, love for nature, and belief in life’s endless possibilities.

My Review
5 Stars
Avery and Zaria are best friends that want to go exploring. They find themselves in the Eerie Hollow when they are not allowed. They discover the elves making chocolate and are caught by King Thordon who will let them go after they complete a quest to retrieve something for him or they will become his slaves. The two go and find themselves in the company of witches and dragons.
Avery has just turned 100 which means he is the equivalent of a human teenager. Although he is supposed to have more responsibility he would still rather go on adventures with Zaria, who turned 100 a little bit ago. And do they go on an adventure!! I loved everything they got into and how they grew from their quest.
This story would be a great bedtime read but you might want to read it in advance if some of the fight scenes are a bit much for your children. Midgrade readers and above should have no problem with the story.
This is a wonderful read for all ages that will capture your attention and leave you wanting more from this world.
