Pressure by Betsy Reavley
When the submarine departed, none of the ten people on board knew it would turn into a nightmare.
Trapped on the sunken vessel and unable to escape, one of them is discovered dead. The tension escalates as the survivors realise there is a murderer among them, who is preparing to strike again and again…
With mounting desperation, people begin to turn on each other. While they struggle to identify who is responsible, each must contend with their own past and the secrets they are hiding.
But who is who? And which of them will be next to die?

My Review
5 stars
Ten people are on the Pica Explorer. The captain has been offered a chance to make some money for a special film. The director is trying to save himself from bankruptcy and you have an actor that is trying to start her career with some classic actor. But then the Pica Explorer starts to sink. If that is not enough to start ramping up the tension then there is a murder. It is the ultimate question of who is the killer.
While we dance around current events, we also have flash backs with everyone’s past and someone called the Child. Who is this person that has suffered from horrible abuse and neglect? Who are they on the Pica Explorer? And who is going to survive this ordeal?
This is a great story that draws you in with the simple cast trying to make the film. But when things go wrong and the Pica Explorer starts to sink, that would be a fresh ring of hell for me. Add to this the tension of a warped killer. Then you have me up late, reading as fast as I can to try to figure out whom the killer was and if anyone was going to survive.
This is a great, fast paced and claustrophobic story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. This is my first story from Betsy Reavley but it will not be my last.
